We are your complete automotive maintenance and repair shop.

Transmissions are a specialty item, and one that we take great pride in, but we offer a full line of automotive mechanical maintenance and repair with quality parts and workmanship at competitive prices. We service fleet vehicles, and we also perform SGI Out-of-Province Vehicle Safety Inspections, also known as SGI Light Vehicle Inspections.

All of our mechanical repairs are backed by a one year, unlimited kilometer warranty barring any unusual circumstances, which are always explicitly discussed with the customer before the repair. Transmission overhauls performed by our shop are backed by our three year or 60,000 kilometer warranty upon completion of a recheck shortly after installation.

Please note that we do not install customer-supplied parts as a matter of company policy.

SPECIALIZED INSPECTIONS

Please see the General Prices page [link] for information on the costs of these inspections.

Buyer’s CVI (Complete Vehicle Inspection)

  • A one hour bumper-to-bumper inspection typically paid for by the prospective buyer of a vehicle, the result of which may be used as a bartering tool in the purchase. Issues with major systems such as the engine or transmission will be noted and quoted to the best of our ability given the information provided by our instruments, but they will not receive a diagnostic or be majorly mechanically disassembled to investigate an issue as part of the inspection.

  • If the first Buyer’s CVI warns a customer off purchasing the current desired vehicle, subsequent Buyer’s CVIs for other vehicles will be half-price.

SGI Out-of-Province Vehicle Safety Inspection (SGI Light Vehicle Inspection)

  • This inspection consists of an hour to work through SGI’s checklist, including measuring brake components for remaining life, and a half hour wheel alignment check including minor adjustments. Major adjustments require a full wheel alignment at extra charge. If any repairs are required in order for the vehicle to pass inspection, the work will be quoted and passed on to the customer for approval or denial. Vehicles that fail inspection and are not repaired during their current appointment are given thirty days by SGI to be repaired by whomever the customer chooses and then re-certified by the original inspecting shop.

  • Engine, transmission, AC, and non-safety related systems are not evaluated during this inspection.

  • SGI stipulates that vehicles must be clean, inside and out, prior to inspection so that any defects in the cabin or the body are readily apparent.

  • Please see our SGI Inspections page [link] for further information.
